As a result of the scientific contest this Institute was honored by three prizes: for development of a web-site on historical and cultural monuments of Dashoguz region. The winner of the contest is the teacher of computer technology faculty, Yagmyrguly Garowow. The authors of two other winners are Shabibi Toyliyeva, Perhat Nurgeldiyev. Their inventions are related to the study of the characteristics of radio waves of mobile networks in Ashgabat city and informational support of sporting events.

On the eve of the Day of Science, the exhibition is held in Transport and Telecommunication Institute. Exhibits display relevant scientific and applied research. Many of them are dedicated to robotics used in various sectors of the economy.

Chairman of Council of Young Scientists, the university lecturer Azat Atayev indicated that a few years ago students were engaged in assembling and programming robots on the basis of special set. Today, most of them are created within the University of Council of Young Scientists. This process is time consuming, which involves several steps, including set up drafts, three-dimensional modeling of objects, production of plastic parts, calculation of the mechanical part of robot, design of the integrated circuitry, transfer of pattern on the textolite board, etc.

Not only do robots determine the research interests of students. They develop a system of "smart home" in order to access home it screens a biometric data of the owner. The system gives the opportunity of remote control via SMS messages and has an alarm function, alerting an owner about the unauthorized access, as well as the state of the temperature or humidity in the room. The system is equipped with a voice control function as well.

One of the important developments of Council of Young Scientists in Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications is an automatic irrigation system, which is able to independently determine the state moisture of the soik, if necessary, "switch on" the water supply. The author of this system - a third year student-Djumamuhammet Atayev does not stop on this achievement but keep on working on his comprehension.

A 3rd year student Medineglyj Nepesglyjov developed an automated lighting system based on energy-saving technologies.

Some inventions made by young innovators honored with patents then successfully applied into production in the framework of special agreements on scientific cooperation. In particular, Council of Young Scientists of Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communications maintains close scientific partnership with the Ministry of Industry of Turkmenistan, by Concern "Turkmenmashinstroy" in the context of long-term perspective development of electronics manufacturing industry of Turkmenistan.
