The decision on introduction into undergraduate schedule of TU of FS new linguistic discipline was envisaged under special Agreement on academic exchange and cooperation between the International University of the Humanities and Development of our country and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies signed within the framework of the visit in October 2015 to Turkmenistan of the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. At the same time, a gift was presented to the university in the form of related collection of textbooks and teaching aids for learning of the Turkmen language in electronic format.

Vice Rector of Studies at the International University of Humanities and Development was invited in Tokyo for participation in the ceremony on the start of the Turkmen language teaching. He addressed to the Japanese colleagues a good farewell and conveyed another batch of textbooks, manuals and other training materials. This literature, having replenished the fund of university library, will help the Japanese youth not only to learn the language, but also in getting acquainted with the history and present day of our country, with cultural characteristics, rich and original traditions and customs of the Turkmen people.

The International University of the Humanities and Development, in turn, plans to invite to teach the Japanese language the representative of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Within the framework of cooperation between two universities, it is planned to open at IUHD the Center for Japanese Language and Culture.
