The work session of the working group of the championship with participation of representative of State Sport Committee, V Asian Indoor and Martial Art Games, National Olympic Committee, range of ministries and departments, mass media as well as leading athletes and coaches was held on the threshold of this event.

The medals will be contested in two disciplines – free and classic style. As for today, 16 countries of Asian part of the continent confirmed their participation.

These are test competitions and their results will demonstrate both the preparedness of our national team for the forthcoming in Ashgabat Asian Games – 2017 and the level of organization of such sport events. They will also favour our volunteers to develop necessary skills for servicing of large sport forums.

One month ago, the Martial Art Complex of the Olympic village has already hosted test competitions – Asian Sambo Championship, where Turkmenistan athletes won first place by the number of gold medals (21) and total number of prizes (66). We look forward to new victories of our masters of goresh and belt wrestling.
