Turkmenistan launches the next admission campaign in secondary vocational schools and higher educational institutions

It will last up to August 27 this year. In a number of universities, the 2016-2017 academic year will start preparing future cadres of new areas of training, mainly on a fee basis. Innovations have touched National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, International Oil and Gas University of Turkmenistan, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.

With the new 2016-2017 academic year the University of Engineering Technologies of Turkmenistan named after Oguz Khan launches its work established on the basis of the reorganized International Turkmen-Turkish University. By a decree of the President, the new university will prepare qualified specialists with higher education for the spheres of science, education, all sectors of the economy in areas as chemistry and biotechnology; metallurgy, machine building and metal processing; nanotechnologies and nanomaterials; Natural Sciences; Computer Science and Engineering; automation and control; electronics, radio and communication systems. A total of eleven areas of specialization have been formed.

Every year, dozens of Turkmen fellows and girls are sent to study abroad in prestigious universities and secondary vocational schools in the framework of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements to acquire a degree demanded by various sectors of the national economy.

In April, at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly it was held selection of freshmen to study at the universities of the People’s Republic of China. In May, the competitive selection of Turkmen students was organized at the State Medical University to study at Beijing University for Chinese traditional medicine.

The International Oil and Gas University conducted testing for applicants to study at the higher educational institution of the Republic of Turkey and Japan.

In June, the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan conducted testing of applicants aiming to study at the higher educational institutions within the framework of the annual MEXT program - Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Government of Japan. Since 2005, MEXT graduates became nearly fifty representatives of the Turkmen youth.

A few days ago at Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly it was completed the admission to study at the higher educational institutions in the People's Republic of China and Romania. Admission campaign for leading foreign universities takes place in accordance with the requests of ministries and departments.
