Ceremonial opening of International exhibition and scientific conference “Health – 2016” tmed to Day of Health and Medical Industry Workers was held in exhibition centre of Trade and Industry Chamber. For all the years, this forum gained reputation of one of the largest and most prestigious events, which enhance demonstration and implementation of modern achievements of medical science and practical public health.
Members of the government, leaders and representatives of Mejlis, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, medical and clinical centres, Academy of Science, range of ministries and departments, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, mass media, various employees of domestic public health sphere took part in ceremonial opening of the specialized show organized by the Ministry of health and medical industry together with Trade and Industry Chamber of Turkmenistan.
Specialists in different spheres of medicine from 42 country of the world take part in the exhibition in the current year. Exhibits of 240 companies – manufacturers of broad spectrum of pharmacy production, medical equipment and consumables, presenting their services in in different spheres of public health, were presented along with stands of state ministries, departments and sanatoriums of our country. Most exhibits are from European countries – 126 companies. There are 22 new participants also.
Exhibition hall of Ministry of health and medical industry of our country opened the exhibition traditionally. Quality achievement was made in this sphere recently: availability of qualified medical aid, enhancement of efficiency of medical services, their compliance to population’s requirements and advanced achievements of the science were provided on background of comprehensive ramified network of treatment and preventative, diagnostic and scientific and clinical facilities, improvement of training and qualification of medical personnel, implementation of innovative technologies.
Copies of international certificates indicating recognition of Turkmenistan’s successes in elimination of number of infectious diseases are presented on the stands. It is well-known that experience of domestic medics is recommended for implementation in European states of the WHO.
Exhibition hall of National Red crescent Society of Turkmenistan, which is non-government member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and rendering assistance to government bodies in humanitarian activity, is located beside the exposition of the Ministry of health and medical industry.
There is separate exhibition sector for sanatoriums and medical facilities of resort and recreational purpose like Bayaramali, Berzengi, Mollakara, Archman, Yilsuv, Farab and Dashoguz. Each of them is modern comfortable centre for health recreation and do not yield to international analogues by their equipment and range of services. Number of places in domestic recreation centres was 3500 in the last year. Various natural landscapes, mineral springs, herbs of Turkmen land, all of those create unique prerequisites for development of sanatorium and resort holidays and ecological tourism.
From organizational and treatment point of view, Turkmen resorts enter international level improving export value of medical services and unique treatment resources of our country.
Rapidly developing sea resort in National tourist zone “Avaza”, which is the project directly related to strategy development plans of Turkmenistan and opening new opportunities for broad international cooperation, presents unlimited potential for partnership. Large-scale infrastructure for health and rest created today on Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea. Laying of foundation stone of new medical and social facilities as modern sanatorium “Avaza” and multifunctional hospital in Turkmenbashy wre held there with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Enterprises of “Turkmendermansenagat” association demonstrate the achievements in medicine production based on domestic herbs. Their production made 125 million manats in the last year what exceeds twice the production of previous years; growth rates of production of medical items made 138 percent.
Recently, enterprises for production of medicines from domestic herbs and plants of Turkmen flora were opened under state programmes. Plant for packing of healing clays and sea salt in Jebel, enterprises for production of iodine in Bereket, sterile dressing materials in Dashoguz, mineral water “Berzengi” and plant for production of disinfectant solutions in Abadan were pu into operation in 2014.
Turkmen people highly value the production of agricultural complex “Buyan”. Oxygen plant of “Lukmanchylyk Enjamlary” provides medical oxygen to treatment facilities of the country. Workshops for production of natrium hypocloride located in Ashgabat, Balkanabat, Dashoguz, Mary and Tejen provides daily demands of disinfectants in medical facilities, schools, kindergartens and trade and industry enterprises of our country.
Displays of State Committee of Sport, State Committee of Tourism, Execution Committee of V Asian Games attracts attention of the visitors.
The exposition presents state flags of participating countries in Asian Games – 2017. The visitors can also see the torch of forthcoming Games, coin samples, souvenirs, sport equipment, volunteers’ uniform and other attributes and symbols prepared for this important sport event.

Large attention is paid to cooperation in public health sphere, which is realized today as a strategy aimed at preserving of humankind. The participants noted that the role of independent neutral Turkmenistan in this process is obvious as our country invariably confirms its willingness to develop international cooperation in provision of health and prosperity of all people, bringing forward initiatives for peace and development, creation and humanity corresponding to efforts and principles of world society.
The work will continue on the next day by sectors. Innovative proposals in medical equipment and technologies, pharmacy, sport medicine and drug testing are in the scope of the scientists. Natural healing resources, health care and education, advanced methods of treatment of different diseases are among the subjects of discussion.
