The national teams of the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Kyrgyz Republic will rival Turkmenistan in the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship that will be held in United Arab Emirates from 25 May to 1 June 2012. The official draw took place in Dubai. Turkmenistan and its rivals form Group A.

Group B: Japan, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Lebanon; Group C: Iran (tenfold Asia Champion), Australia, Qatar, Republic of Korea; Group D: Uzbekistan, Indonesia, China and Kuwait.

The semifinal matches will be played on May 30, and the final will take place on June 1.

The top four teams of the continental championship will qualify for the final of the World Championship.

Turkmenistan national futsal team will compete for the Asia Cup for the sixth time. Turkmen sportsmen will play the first match versus the hosts – United Arab Emirates on May 25. Next day our futsal players will meet with Taiwan (Vice-Champion of the 2008 AFC Futsal Championship). The match versus the team of the Kyrgyz Republic will complete the Group A tournament.
