Entry examinations to high and secondary professional institutions of Turkmenistan starts on August 2.
For improvement of transparency and objectivity of examine process, non-admission of any violations, control over tests of applicants all classes are equipped with surveillance cameras. Everybody will be able to watch process on big displays set out on the territory of educational institutions. Besides, the course of examinations will be recorded in order to recreate full scene of admission campaign at any stage during and after the process. Such practice allows providing continuous monitoring of entry examinations and by this admission of most talented boys and girls to educational institutions.
In this year, it is planned to admit 7256 student, what is for 128 people more than in the last year.
975 people will become students of Turkmen State University after Magtumguly, 573 people – students of Turkmen State Medical University, 510 – students of Turkmen Agricultural University and 389 student will be admitted by Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Azadi. The same indices in International Oil and Gas University are 467 people, Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute – 570, Turkmen State Institute of Economy and Management – 510 people, Turkmen State Institute of Transport and Communication – 450, Turkmen State Finance Institute – 180 people, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – 60. Number of students of International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development will be the same as in the last year, 300 people.
422 students will be accepted by State Educational Institute named after Seydi, 215 by Turkmen Agricultural Institute, 410 by national Institute of Sport and Tourism and 355 students by Turkmen State Institute of Energy.
Intake of students to art institutions of the country was also increased. 200 people will become first-year students of Turkmen State Institute of Culture, 100 people – of State Art Academy and 140 people – students of Turkmen National Conservatoire.
Besides, first intake of 450 students will be made for University of Engineering Technologies named after Oguzkhan. Number of studies of directions like chemical and biotechnology, metallurgy, mechanical engineering and metal processing, nanotechnologies and nanomaterial, natural sciences, informatics and computer science, automation and control, electronics, radio engineering and communication systems will start in new educational year.
There is its own profile system on each of seven main studies. For example, “Automation and Control” stipulates specialization in mechatronics, robot technology and innovations. “Natural Sciences” department offer specialization on ecology and nature management, “Metallurgy, mechanical engineering and metal processing” bases of study of materials science and technology for new materials. Educational process is planned to be organized by Japanese programme with involvement of lecturers from the country of the rising sun.
As is known, Turkmenistan pays great attention to development of bilateral relations with Japan in cultural and humanitarian spheres, educational contacts and in scientific and technical area. Study of Japanese language in our universities as well as fruitful cooperation with University of Tsukuba are evidences of successful cooperation in this direction.
Partnership between scientific and educational centres of both countries acquired considerable experience in Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Azadi with Japanese language department.
Ass offered by Japanese scientists, student of the University of Engineering Technologies will study English and Japanese languages during first year of study. From the second year and for three years onwards, Japanese professors will give lectures and do research work for chosen specialities. In the fourth year of study, students are offered with study in Japan universities including University of Tsukuba. The students will have to defend the coursework at the end of the study. Upon completion of the study, they will receive appropriate certificates and diplomas.
In accordance the decision of Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, new speciality departments are opened in number if institutions. Turkmen State Education Institute named after S. Seydi opens new “Chinese Language Department” and National Institute of Sport and Tourism” - department of “Technical Provision of Sport Technologies”.
Secondary professional education is another important direction of development of education system. In this year, 42 secondary professional institutions of Turkmenistan according to requests of ministries, branch departments, enterprises and organizations will admit 8385 people what more for 43 comparing with the last year.
Entry examinations to high educational institutions of the country, as well as pedagogic and finance and economic secondary professional colleges under Ministry of Education, medical professional colleges under Ministry of Health and Medical Industry as well as secondary professional institutions of Ministry of Culture will last until August 25.
Defining directions of realization of educational reform and specific issues for training of highly professional personnel of new formation, the Head of the State makes special accent on development of broad international cooperation and scientific and educational sphere, implementation of innovative approaches and technologies in educational process.
Geography of overseas educational institutions expands with every year where Turkmen youth receives knowledge. The study of envoys of our country is carried out under interstate agreements of Ministry of Education, branch ministries and departments.
Thousands of Turkmen boys and girls will become holder of student books of prestigious educational institutions of Russia, Belarus, China, Malaysia, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, and other countries in 2016 – 2017. At the same time, two educational institutions of Turkmenistan – International Oil and Gas University and International University of Humanitarian Sciences and Development, will admit foreign students.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized repeatedly that today, young generation of Turkmen people are presented with all opportunities for quality education and mastering of chosen professions including the study in overseas educational institutions. Modern skills and knowledge acquired by our citizens have to be implemented practically in branches of national economy, where large-scale transformation programmes oriented on active implementation of advanced technologies and innovations are being realized.
Qualification of teachers, who master newest methodology and informative technologies is also increased, international contacts between educational institutions of our country and abroad are being built up. Having established close relations with prestigious scientific and educational centres of Europe, Asia and America, Turkmenistan achieved considerable increase of its student contingent in these countries, expanded its participation in international researches, educational exchanges and in development of academic information networks.
Implementing international standards in educational process, our country expands cooperation in humanitarian sphere with the UN, European Union, leading research and educational centres of the world. Realization of range of efficient projects under various international programmes are actual results of this cooperation.

Hence, the main goal of educational reforms is formation of new generation of high moral, generally educated specialists is strong knowledge of modern technologies.
