National Olympic Team of Turkmenistan includes Master of sport of International Class Gulbadam Babamuratova who will compete in judo up to 52 kg tournament.

As is known, it is necessary to achieve high results in numerous tournaments of international, Asian and Grand prix level in order to get admission to the Games. According to existing Provision, judo wrestler gets scores in qualification competitions and therefore even one missed fight is able to hold away the wrestler from participation in major contests of the planet.
G. Babamuratova took regular part in largest competitions where she was one of the challenger for the prizes. The foster of Chemengul Geldybabayeva and Gapur Babakuliev stepped on the top of the victory podium for two times and had one silver and bronze prizes. Gulbadam took the third place in spring Asian championship and entered five of the best judo fighters in world championship in her weight category.
G. Babamuratova can be easily called as many-sided athlete. Beside her achievements in judo, she is world champion in belt wrestling, winner and prize holder of Sambo International Cup Championships. Along with this, she is gold and silver medal winner of IV Asian Open Games – 2014 in sambo competitions that was held under open sky on the sand. Totally, Gulbadam is holder of tens of prizes of international level.
Another representative of our country– Master of Sport Rushana Nurjovova, will participate in judo competitions during World games in Rio de Janeiro. International Judo Federation (IJF) that approves quotes for the countries for Olympic Games for those who was not able to win the voucher for the Games but showed their best sides in international competitions took decision of her participation.
Rushana has shown good results in Grand prix tournaments. She won the seventh place in international competitions in Budapest (Hungary) in June and entered five of the best wrestlers up to 57 kg during Asian championship in May of this year.
