New yacht centre on the Caspian Coast invites seafaring fanciers

Second sail and yacht centre in our country, which do not yield by its level neither to the first on the Turkmen Coast of the Caspian nor to analogy centres abroad, has been opened in Avaza. This is “Tolkun” Complex, which is able to host large competitions of wind surfers or sailing regattas. It is also perspective from amateur seafaring and yachting as hobby and outdoor activities point of view.


There are around 40 small boats and crafts made in France, Great Britain, Greece and Turkey at disposal of “Tolkun” yacht club. These are elegant “Antares” types of boats with fly bridges presenting comfortable “family” type of yachts and stylish and manoeuvrable sport cruiser “Gran Turismo 40” for speed lovers. The line of motor yachts are continued with «Glastron» and «Merkan 35 XL» pleasure boats. Besides, there are sport motor and sailing boats of different modifications, catamarans, surfboards, canoes, inflatable floating devices and others as well as related gears, accessories and necessary devises. Special attention is paid to the safety measures on water.


“Tolkun” is excellent place to start learning both yacht mastering and skills of any other aquatic sport. Two years ago, Avaza hosted another round of Windsurf World Cup that is one of the most prestigious international competitions in water sports and which attracts more and more supporters in our country.

In future, Turkmen sea resort by increase of number of marinas and expansion of related infrastructure will be able to position oneself as new destination of yacht tourism.
