Kazakhstan Embassy in Turkmenistan held a briefing in Ashgabat

The event was held at the Archabil Hotel in Ashgabat on occasion of the International Day against Nuclear Tests and the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.



Speaking during the meeting, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Orman Nurbaev informed those present on the initiatives of the President of Kazakhstan and the role of Kazakhstan in building peace free from nuclear weapon and told about the priority spheres of work of the country as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2017-2018. The Ambassador underlined that this was a success of the whole subregion in Central Asia, which will be presented in the agency that is responsible for the peace and security in the world. In this regard, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for supporting Kazakhstan to be elected to this authoritative UN structure.



Speaking during the meeting, the Ambassador focused on the priority areas of the social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the investment policy and the foreign-policy structure of the country. Touching upon the Turkmen-Kazakh relations, the Ambassador emphasized their increasing dynamics and reported on the preparations for the business forum to be held in Ashgabat at the end of August.

The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan organized a photography exhibition dedicated the International Day against Nuclear Tests.
