The State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryev held an interuniversity Internet Olympiad in English.

The linguistic review was held through a digital system with the participation of students from 21 higher educational institutions of the country. The English language competition provided an opportunity for participants to show their abilities and talents, to demonstrate knowledge and training in the subject.

31 students managed to do it best of all, each of whom successfully completed the tasks of the Olympiad and won a prize.

The winners are five students who scored 96-99 points according to the results of the Olympiad. The first two places went to Gurbanmurat Berdymuradov and Parahat Khalmanov, students of the International University for the Humanities and Development. Three more winners of the competition are Ilaman Geldyev (Institute of the National Security Committee of Turkmenistan), Rakhimberdy Charyev (Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering) and Guljan Komekova (State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M. Garryev).

26 prizes, 11 second and 15 third, were awarded by the jury to the participants of the Olympiad. The winners included students who scored at least 80 points according to the final results of the competition. It should be noted that prizes were distributed among representatives of almost all universities involved in the Olympiad.

The event was held to assess the level of knowledge of students, stimulate and encourage their creative and intellectual activity, increase interest in learning the language. The competition is organized as part of the implementation of the tasks of the Concept for improving the teaching of foreign languages in Turkmenistan and the Concept for the development of the digital education system in the country.
