A little more than a year left before the Asian Games-2017, and the athletes have entered an active phase of preparation for a major sporting event. Sports dancing, a kind of sport is relatively new in our country, and we have asked the Secretary General of the Federation of Dance Sport Murad Berdyev to talk about preparation of our dancers to responsible debut.
- We have a serious test, says M.Berdyev – as people say, the road can manage the one who move, and we try not to lose a single day.
After joining the World Dance Sport Federation in 2014 we hold it in three national tournaments, which were attended by dozens of young and experienced dancers. The first two tournaments were distinguished by number of attendees. It was attended from 105 to 120 people, it was exciting to observe how kids were dancing cha-cha-cha, waltz, samba ...
We did it deliberately to promote this dance as sport, and in the future, these young dancers will grow champions.
I especially want to review the third national championship, held in two aged categories. Seven pairs played championship medals, four were adult dancers and three pairs of dancers were the juniors. The main goal of the championship was to determine the level of readiness of our candidates, analysis of dance skill. In order to make our debut at the Asian Games in 2017 successful, we must prioritize the preparatory work.
Two categories competed in the performance of 3 dances - rhythmic cha-cha-cha, samba and graceful energetic jive. The youth group is performed between duets Ruslan Enusov - Lydia Goboleva and Ali Redjepov - Dariya Makarkina, jive performance was just excellent. As a result of the execution of three dances, the "gold" medal was conferred the couple Enusov - Goboleva, Redjepov – Makarkina won "silver" medal, a pair Esenov – Gridchina received "bronze" medal.
Great interest was aroused by the contest in the adult category. Barbara Pivovarova - Alexander Sisekin, a pair, largely determines the level of dance sport in the country. They were opposed by Anastasia Yuzhakova - Nikita Svyatelik, Darya Gokova - Timur Jalkanov, Valeriya Nepomnyaschaya – Arslan Atayev. It is remembered the dance performance of Anastasia Yuzhakova and her partner Nikita Svyatelik who were unusually artistic couple, they didn’t manage little to reach "bronze" medal.
Absolutely perfect were Pivovarova - Sisekin, our masters, their rhythmic pattern honed to perfection and the gold medal they won rightfully. I would like to quote the words of Igor Aleksandrovich Kuntina, founder of dance sport in Turkmenistan, diplomat of the All-Union competition of ballroom dancing in 1975 in Moscow.
- I think the championship succeeded there was no doubt that the pair Pivovarova - Sisekin would win. I was pleased with my young dancers, most importantly, that they would be improved and gained experience in the international tournaments. I sincerely wish them a successful performance at the Asian Games-2017.
This summer, our country was visited by President of Asian Dance Sport Federation Mr. Keiji Ukai, (President, ADSF) sports dance tournament, praised the state of parquet, create conditions and held master class for our dancers, recognizing their level of high training status.
The most importantly, professionally useful was a training camp in St. Petersburg, which took place in July-August 2016. Classes are held at the St. Petersburg Center of Dance Sport, led by the team practice session Yevgeniyi Valentinovich Gavrilov who is the Head of the Centre, international referee and member of the International Dance Sport and, I might add, sensitive, attentive, demanding coach.
The trip was attended by coaches Irina Davidovich and the referee Alexander Novokshonov. The team practice sessions are took parts by the experienced dancers and beginners. It is opened for self-motivated and hard-working dancers for the team practice session, and the dance floor will be participated the strongest. Reshuffled the pairs, it is also a natural process. As states, Yevgeniyi Valentinovich, psychological compatibility in pairs is the most important factor.
Six hours a day, our dancers practice elements of jive, samba, cha-cha-cha, paso doble. Much attention has been given to elements of artistry, much specificity, technical nuances; none can be escaped from strict eye of Gavrilov. Irina Davidovich and Alexander Novokshonov adopts the experience of coaching, filling their notepads with the methodological nuances. Summing up the results of the St. Petersburg’s team, we sincerely thank Evgeniyi Valentinovich for the best school of Gavrilov, in turn, having expressed his gratitude to the children for their hard work, dedication, as say he is pleased to work with such talented, passionate dance by the athletes. "Experience, - as stated by him - will come with time and you have a great desire to work striving for victory, it is – a core!".
In our immediate plans is the coaching staff meeting, a seminar for referees, where Alexander Novokshonov will familiarize judges with the modern technique of arbitration of dance sport. We are preparing our dancers for the participation of our dancers in the tournament in Minsk. We have a lot of preparatory work to adequately represent the country at the bright and large-scale sporting event - the Asian Games-2017. We hope that our debut will be worthy.
