By tradition, the solemn meetings and first classes dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence of our state, the Year of Reverence of Heritage and Reforms in the Motherland, peace-loving humane internal and foreign policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took place in all schools and higher educational institutions in the country.
The address of the President of Turkmenistan on occasion of the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth was presented during the meetings. It was underlined that the main goal of the educational policy was to ensure the access to education and create optimal conditions so that each citizen of our country could use their skills and talent.
Those speaking during the meetings noted that one of the priority areas of the progressive policy pursued by the Turkmen leader was concern about younger generation. Within the framework of the comprehensive reforms implemented in the country, particular attention is paid to the improvement of the national educational system, which stands as a foundation for further development of the state and society.
All necessary conditions are created in the country today to ensure the spiritual and physical development of youth and their creative labour. Wide opportunities are opened up for the young citizens of Turkmenistan for creative self-expression and implementation of versatile skills and talents.

New preschool institutions and secondary schools are opened in the country every year. On occasion of new 2016-2017 academic year, architectural premiers took place in all regions of the country. The festive ceremonies brought together Mejlis deputies, representatives of local authorities and public organizations, the elders, local citizens.
Thus, on September 1, the opening ceremonies of secondary schools designed for 500 students each in Keshi and Mir 7/1 residential areas and a school designed for 1,200 schoolchildren in Ruhabat Etrap turned into a big holiday.
The new buildings harmoniously blend in with the architectural ensemble of the main city of the country that combines the national traditions of architecture and new modern achievements of the engineering ideas.
Schoolchildren in Rysgally Gengeshlik in Serahs Etrap, Ahal Velayat started the new academic year in the new three-storey white-marble school designed for 600 students. The kindergartens design for 320 and 180 were opened in the Borme settlement in Baharly Etrap and the city of Altyn Asyr in Altyn Asyr Etrap respectively.

Children in the Tahtabazar settlement in Tahtabazar Etrap and the Murgab settlement received wonderful gifts – new kindergartens designed for 100 and 90 places respectively.

There are classes for practicing music, art classes and libraries in all new educational institutions.
