The Healthy Family sports event held at the Galkynysh Sports Complex brought together the teams representing four etraps of Ashgabat. The teams consisting of five family ‘trios’, including father, mother and child, competed for the first places in six competitions.

The competitions were organized by the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan and Ashgabat Khyakimlik within the framework of the National Programme “Strong family – powerful state”. The main goal of the action is to popularize the healthy lifestyle and promote physical culture and sports among youth.

The sports events were organized in the administrative centers of all five regions of the country. The family competitions within the framework of the Ntaional Programme “Strong family – powerful state” will be organized within the year.
