Alexander Zavarzin, Director of information-analytical department of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States:

As is known, transport is the blood vessels of economic. Each of it forms either is sea, road, air or railway and its specificity and significance, therefore has a special role in providing transportations and trade, regional development and international relations.

Over the past years, Turkmenistan made a rapid breakthrough in the economy, development of advanced technologies, increasing the number of partner countries. Initiative of country in the transport sector is the breakthrough to the level of UN aimed at boosting cooperation and prosperity not only the Turkmen nation, but also the entire region, Central Asia and the continent.

Today, we live in a world where there is the need to interact with each other. The aims of transport diplomacy is not just to work on the legislative framework in the field of international communications, but also to find compromises, to interrelate interests of different countries, to make decisions that will suit all parties. And that is very important, far-sighted policy of the Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who is demonstrating to the world that the economic effect of coordination in the field of transport is much higher than that of the competition. This is the main key to success in the joint effort to achieve results.

Senior vice-president of the corporation «Boeing» Martin Bentrott:

This is my sixth visit to Ashgabad is the city that keeps fascinating me. Tomorrow, it will be the opening of the new airport, which impresses with its scope and original appearance. In addition, it is equipped with modern aircraft maintenance complex, large cargo unit. But the main thing that amazes me is a high rate of modernization of the national air traffic system.

This year is the anniversary of the company «Boeing», which celebrates its centenary. About the century ago in Seattle it is built light aircraft made of wood, and now it is being build ultra-modern airliners. And we are pleased that a quarter of the period we collaborated with your country. The first aircraft we delivered to Turkmenistan in 1992, and for almost 25 years, we see how the government invests in its air park, actively developing this form of transport.

We continue to plan to expand this cooperation, to provide support in creation of air-infrastructure of our country. In the future, we will continue training of specialists - pilots, flight attendants and technicians. It is that coordination of economic cooperation, confidence in reliable partners which allows us to improve the quality and safety of manufactured aircrafts.

Head of Sub-regional Office of Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) Tiziana Bonapace:

Our organization works closely with the Government of Turkmenistan in the field of access to economic and social opportunities to be offered to use the integrated multi-modal transport systems. But now I would like to focus the attention on other issues. It is that of transport, which consumes more than 60 percent of crude oil in the world, generates a number of emissions, pollute the environment. And when we talk about the development of transportation we must take into account these facts.

Turkmenistan, through which it is undergoing the transport corridors North-South and East-West, is accountable when touch these issues. Here is an example of Ashgabat city. In the capital city, everything is done to minimize the damage from automobile exhausts. It is laid exemplary roads, the quality of which depend the amount of emissions thrown into the atmosphere, to exercise proper control over the technical means of transportation, planted huge green areas in the city and its surroundings. This testifies to the great economic potential and high social responsibility of the State, give priority to the protection of human health and the environment. Today more than ever necessary to develop international cooperation in this field, to introduce new technologies, use of renewable, so-called "clean" energy sources.
