President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed to create a Business Cooperation Council of the Caspian countries. The head of state came up with this initiative at the sixth Caspian summit held in Ashgabat.
Speaking at the summit, he noted that the most important issue for the countries of the region is the Caspian industrial cooperation.
“Our countries have vast natural resources, strong industrial and technological potential. Their unification, the creation of partnership production lines, “integration corridors” are a hot topic. Private business is called upon to play an important role in this,” said the head of Turkmenistna.
In his opinion, it is necessary to launch targeted business forums of the Caspian countries, during which entrepreneurs could communicate directly, independently build partnership schemes where it is beneficial and expedient for them. “In this regard, we propose to think about the creation of the Business Cooperation Council of the Caspian countries as an independent, without state interference, platform for close partner cooperation,” emphasized the President of Turkmenistan.
