The solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the state competition “Teacher of the Year - 2022” held by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan was held at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.

According to the results of the competition, seven best teachers received prizes, among which were the winners of the Grand Prix, first place, 2 second and 3 third places.

So, the high title of “Teacher of the Year - 2022” and the Grand Prix of the competition were awarded to Bayram Jumayev, senior lecturer, acting head of the department of automation of technical systems of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan (Mary city).

The honorary first place was awarded to Aylar Hojanepesova, senior lecturer, acting head of the “Banking department” of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management.

The second places in the competition were won by Altyn Hydyrova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance and Shemshat Gylyjova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction.

Third places were given to Agajan Yagmyrov, head of the Department of Administrative Law of the Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Babageldi Gurbanov, teacher of the Department of Applied Mechanics of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz city) and Ayjemal Rahimova, teacher of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Seydi (Turkmenabat city).

The winners and prize-winners of the competition were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts. Note that in general, the competition consisted of four stages. The first two were held within each higher education institution of the country - among teachers of departments, then faculties. This was followed by an inter-university stage, according to the results of which 25 teachers met in the final of the competition - one from each university. And according to the results of the final, the seven best participants were determined. As part of the awards ceremony, 18 teachers who worthily participated in the finals of the competition were also solemnly congratulated at the festive site in the capital's university. They were awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and memorable gifts. Traditionally, the annual competition evaluated teachers and their professional activities according to all relevant criteria. The final of the authoritative review was held within the walls of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance from May 26 to 27. The competent jury included representatives of the Ministry of Education of the country, the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the National Institute of Education, popular science periodicals.

As part of the competition, the pedagogical and scientific activities of the participants were considered by the jury in five main areas. Including, professionalism in conducting lessons: teaching methods, ways of presenting educational material and motivating students. Further, the methodological work of teachers and its results were analyzed - author's textbooks, teaching aids, monographs published over the past three years, as well as publications in periodicals and participation in thematic events.

The panel of judges evaluated the results of the scientific work of teachers. In particular, scientific presentations at conferences, in newspapers, magazines, cooperation with scientific organizations, scientific supervision of students graduate works, etc.

When evaluating the participants, the academic degrees and titles of teachers received in the last three years were taken into account. Their owners had an advantage as an additional, high score, which was added to the total number of points scored during the competition. Attention was focused on the educational work of teachers - mentoring, organizing cultural and social events of an educational nature. At the same time, the jury analyzed the work of teachers to support, stimulate and develop gifted and talented youth. Including - preparation of students for the Olympiads, young university teachers for intellectual competitions, scientific meetings, etc.

Testing, which was also organized for teachers, included dozens of questions on the general topic of national education - the legislative framework, programs, concepts, key principles of the system, etc.

An exhaustive list of indicators for assessing the professional competence of teachers suggests that the winners and prize-winners of the competition rightfully and deeply deservedly received their statuses, and the most worthy teacher was awarded the high title of “Teacher of the Year - 2022”.
