The representatives of the diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan took part in the big tennis tournament held at the courts of the Ashgabat stadium. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Turkmenistan Mr. Keith Rennie Allan demonstrated the best results and won the first place. They also played the volleyball friendly match at the sports basis of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on April 5, and will take part in the table tennis tournament on April 6.
The National Championship of Turkmenistan in cycle racing has continued at the Kopetdag in the 70-meter cycle race. The Ashgabat-1 team including the students of the High Sportsmanship School of Turkmenistan and the School for National Sports of the Ashgabat Municipal Sports Committee won the first place. Vyacheslav Kutuzov demonstrated the best results and won the first place in the individual events.
International Grand Master Handjar Odeev, who has gained 4.5 points of five possible ones, leads in the Men’s Chess National Championship of the major league held at the Central Chess Club.
The rowing tournament took place at the Kurtli Lake. Polina Zaid won the first place in the 500-meter kayak-paddling in women’s single event. Sergei Romanenko and Dmitry Yakovlev demonstrated the best results in the men’s event.
Mekan Esenov and Diana Hudaiberdiyeva won the first places in the fencing tournament held at the Galkynysh Sports and Health-improving complex.
280 students of the Athletics Sports School competed in 13 events at the Olympic Stadium.

The reigning champion Balkan FC won the Super Cup of Turkmenistan. The team of the Turkmennebit State Concern achieved this result defeating 2-1 the winner of the Turkmenistan Cup – ITTU FC (Ashgabat) during the decisive match played at the stadium in Abadan.
The cross contest among youth took place in Balkanabat. Young fencers demonstrated their skills in the swords and rapier events in the sports and health-improving center of the Specialized Youth Olympic School. During this large-scale action, the sports complexes of the city have hosted competitions in various sports, including Goresh wrestling, martial arts, boxing, volleyball, basketball, football.
The kayak-paddling and canoeing events took place in the Avaza National tourist zone in Turkmenbashi. The workers of the sphere of education of the littoral city took part in the volleyball tournament organized with the support of the Trade Union Council of Turkmenbashi.

The volleyball tournament among schoolgirls from all cities and etraps of the region started in sports school 2 in Turkmenabat. The rowing and canoeing events held at the basis of the specialized school for water sports in Turkmenabat attracted many spectators. The students of Seyitnazar Seidi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute and professional schools in Lebap took part in the volleyball, mini-football, table tennis, chess and other events. 16 teams have continud the competitions for the Lebap Velayat Cup.
