Final fights of national kickboxing tournament, which gathered around 100 fighters from all the regions of the country, were held at “Galkynysh” sport complex. Best result were demonstrated by Ashgabat athletes, who won six first places out of eleven.
The highest step of the podium was occupied by A. Kamalov (up to 51 kg), A. Annanurov (up to 57 kg), G. Abdiyev (up to 63.5 kg), Sh. Halliyev (up to 67 kg), B. Annaglyjov (up to 75 kg) and M. Gurbanov (up to 81 kg). All of them are representatives of the capital complex sport school of the city sport committee.
Four victories are at the account of Lebap kickboxers. They are N. Aydogdiyev (up to 60 kg), M. Nadjmutdinov (up to 71 kg), A. Jumakuliyev (up to 86 kg) and B. Chariyev (above 91 kg). One of gold medals was won by A. Amangeldiyev (up to 54 kg) from Dashoguz velayat team.
Head coach of national kickboxing team A. Snagovskiy said that current tournament was organized for revealing of the potential of young athletes, who got opportunity to show themselves at the ring. The outcomes of the tournament added confidence that main composition of the national team has reliable reserves. It will allow to supplement with new forces the main team, which have to participate in large international competitions soon. The next one is “Peter’s Cup”, which will be held in Sankt – Petersburg (Russia) in December.
The founder of national kickboxing school highlighted that owing to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, many things are being done for development of sport of high achievements. We have to respond to such care by high results at international sport arena, first of all, during V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which start in Ashgabat in less than a year.
Our kickboxers have very good potential and coaching staff of the national team put all efforts for its implementation, - Alexander Snagovskiy highlighted.
Before “Peter’s Cup” tournament, two training sessions are planned to be organized for Turkmenistan National team. One of them will be held in Gyokdere and another one will be held abroad.
