The capital Mukams’ Palace hosted ceremonial opening of Days of Tatarstan Republic of Russian Federation, during which concert of art masters and exhibition of Tatarstan handcrafts were organized. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnihanov arrived to Ashgabat for participation in the forum dedicated to the 25th anniversary of our independent neutral state.
Current event, in the context of constructive open door policy lead by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and versatile international cooperation, is important part of dynamically developing dialog of our country with one of the large regions of Russian Federation. Tatarstan is one of the our active partners in trade and economic sphere, investment activity, modernization of industry, supply of automobile equipment, development of domestic automobile sport and ice hockey. Relations of the sides under Joint Turkmenistan – Tatarstan Work Group for trade and economic, scientific and technical and cultural cooperation promote advancement of the partnership.

Suffice it to remind on participation of “KAMAZ Master”, the automobile giant from Nabereznye Chelny, in organization of “Silk Road – 2009” rally, bands from Tatarstan in art events in Ashgabat and National tourist zone “Avaza”, performances of Turkmen artists at International theatre festival of turk peoples “Novruz”, our horsemen with special programme during the events dedicated to “Sabantuy” national holiday in Kazan city. Every year, scientists and cultural workers from friendly Tatarstan participate in international scientific conferences and festivals held in Turkmenistan. Contacts in sport field, where Tatarstan achieved great successes, are also established. This direction is very actual now due to preparation of our country to V Asian Indoor and martial Arts Games in 2017.
Events on 290th birthday of the great Turkmen poet Magtumguly Fragi as well as publishing of collection of his poems in Tatar language indicate high respect to spiritual heritage of our people, its ancient and rich culture.
Days of culture of Republic of Tatarstan in Ashgabat in 2012 as well as Days of Turkmenistan culture in Tatarstan in 2014 favoured closer relations of two fraternal peoples, deep study of their richest spiritual heritage.
Representative delegation led by Minister of Culture of Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin arrived to Ashgabat for participation in art part of the forum. In the first half of the day, the Library of the State Cultural Centre hosted the meeting with representatives of Republic of Tatarstan – the heads of National Library, Union of Writers, authors and journalists. Subjects of further cooperation in cultural sphere, share of practices in this field were discussed during interested dialog.

As it was mentioned before, there was State Song and Dance Ensemble of Republic of Tatarstan of Russian Federation, legendary and one of the most titled bands, which history is more than 75 years, among the participants of the concert. It presented primordial national traditions of Tatar people, its music and dance culture and applied arts. The programme included choreographic performances, heartfelt vocal compositions and comic short plays on motives of Tatar and Russian folk songs.
Ashgabat citizens and guests of the capital were introduced with another famous band, the “Kazan Nury” folk musical instrument orchestra, which is called “face of Kazan city”. The audience is always being won by reverent attitude of members of glorious ensemble to imperishable samples of folk art and by heartfelt performance of the artists.
Beautiful song potpourri from classics of movies were performed by remarkable play of the theatre of Russian song “Vorojeya” (fortune teller).
Soloists of vocal trio “Bolgar Kyzlary”, prize winners of international and Russian competitions, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, presented the public with mischievous Tatar folk songs. Their performance, full of warmth and humour, conquered the audience by its emotional vividness, sincerity and lyrical feeling.
Arias from operas, romances, music compositions from the funds of international and Tatar musical classics were performed by the guests. All performances was accompanied by videos and filled with idea of preservation of national traditions.
Bright dresses, cheerful dances and melodic tunes found broad response among the audience, which appreciated high skills, bright talent and sparkling temper of the guests from Tatarstan by loud applauses.
The programme of the current art event also included joint performances of Turkmen and Tatar artists. Spectators were charmed with national song “Pomegranate Tree” preformed by Turkmen soloist and her colleague from Tatarstan. Our compatriot, the student of Kazan State Institute of Culture demonstrated his singing talent by joint performance with “Kaza Nury” orchestra.
Ancient ritual dance “kushtdepdy” presented by local folk band “Dehistan” and State Song and Dance Ensemble of Republic of Tatarstan, which remarkably supplemented each other, became of the brightest joint performances. These are exactly such events, which helps peoples to learn and understand each other, open wonderful world of art, which hides inexhaustible opportunities for harmonization.
At the end of creative event, our guests performed emotional “Song of Tatarstan”.
“Song of Friendship” was highly and with inspiration performed, having became the final number of the concert. Performed by Turkmen artists and all participants of the concert joined them, it became distinctive anthem of friendship of fraternal peoples and their art alliance.
