Today, Mejlis holds a meeting with a delegation of the Chinese People's Republic headed by a deputy chairman of the All-China Women's Federation Ms. Yee Tsui arrives in Ashgabat.
Members of the Chinese delegation are being briefed on the priorities of domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, goals and objectives of the realized large-scale socio-economic reforms of the country and radical reforms, including the legal sphere.
In this regard, it was stressed that important areas of work of Parliament is to study international experience in the field of gender equality, protection of motherhood and childhood, comprehensive state support of the family institute, improvement of social protection of citizens, and implementation of relevant international law into national legislation.
It is significant to note the new edited version of the Constitution of Turkmenistan, after the public discussion of adopted version of it this autumn by Council of Elders.
Having discussed the prospects of cooperation, the participants reaffirmed their mutual interest in further expansion of productive dialogue.

The main topic of the conversation have became issues of women's participation in socio-political, socio-economic and cultural life of two countries, development of education and health systems, strengthening the international relations in the humanitarian sphere.
In the framework of this visit, the guests will visit one of the schools of Ashgabat, «Ene mahri» International Centre for Maternal and Child and will be familiarized with the museums and other sights of the Turkmen capital.
