The tournament brought together around 400 participants from all regions of Turkmenistan. First place in the team event is won by representatives of the capital's sports school "Olympus".
The asset of Ashgabat sportsmen gained by four gold, five silver and bronze medals. The way to the highest step of the podium sets –Bahtiyar Pashiyev (weight category up to 46 kg), Dayanch Guvanjov (up to 50 kg), Kemal Annadurdyev (up to 58 kg) and Gadam Hodjakov (up to 63 kg).
This is not the first team victory of the sportsmen of the honored coach of Turkmenistan of Rashid Rustamov and Bekmyrat Kakabayev and Yakub Mazakov which is leading in all competitions at national level for many years. It gives the right to "Olympus" sports school to call the main forge of young masters of wrestling, many of whom are the backbone of the cadet national team.
The second place is taken by Amangeldy Annaredjepov, students of the second Ashgabat team. They won two gold medals by Dovletgeldy Garryev (up to 54 kg) and Atamyrat Charlyev (up to 76 kg). The top three young fighters from Balkan region closed the event, with the asset of which is one gold medal won by Rustem Tuvakberdyev (up to 85 kg). Also, each has won the highest standard of the high quality awards has won by Reimbay Kazakov (up to 42 kg) and a representative of the Eastern region Dovletmyrat Meymankuliyev (up to 69 kg).
According to the results of the competition it will be formed the composition of the national team, which will have a major preparation for international competitions. So, at the beginning of next year it is scheduled two tournaments with the participation of fighters of the cadet age which are the memory of submariners (January) and the prizes of the three-time Olympic champion of Alexander Medved (February) in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus.
Currently, we are preparing for one more national-level tournament - the championship of Turkmenistan among men, to be held on December 2-4 in the capital city sports complex "Galkynysh". As you know, wrestling is included in the program of V Asian Indoor Games and Martial Arts to be held in less than a year on the basis of the Ashgabat Olympic Village. Therefore, the upcoming national championship will not only serve an important step in preparation for a comprehensive competition, but also determine the preliminary composition for the performances at the 2017 Asian Games.
