The winners of the first National Junior Darts Championship among boys and girls under 18 that brought together representatives of Ahal, Balkan, Mary Velayats and Ashgabat were announced.
The competitions organized by the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Tourism and Sports jointly with the National Federation for Hanmudo Martial Arts were held with the aim to promote this developing in our country English game among the young citizens of Turkmenistan.
The championship participants divided into two groups competed in the 301 event using the system of counting points. According to the rules, the group leaders in the round robin competed for the medals.
D. Byashimov (Ashgabat) who defeated D. Kurbanniyazov (Bayramali) in the final won the gold medal. B. Karadjaev (Ahal Velayat) took the third place.
In the women’s competitions, the representatives of Ahal Velayat won the prize places. G. Kadyrbaeva won the gold medal, E. Angarbaeva took the second place and A. Utesinova won the bronze medal.
The darts championship among men and women will be organized in Ashgabat at the end of summer. The next sitting of the World Darts Federation to be held in Great Britain in autumn of the current year will consider the issue of including the National Darts Center of Turkmenistan into the membership of this international sports organization.
