The competition is attended by about 300 young wrestlers from regions and Ashgabat. The event organizers are the Sports Committee and the Association of Trade Unions of the city of Turkmenbashi.

The exciting Japanese competition attaches the attention of the audience in three days. It is an opened tournament for fighters between junior team wrestlers (2002-2004 years of birth), who performed in eleven weight categories. The best results in this group showed pupils of sports schools of Ashgabat who have won six gold medals. Four gold medals have got the host of the tournament. One more gold medal is won by the Balkanabat team sports school.

In the senior division (2000-2001 years of birth) fighters of maritime territory is more successful. They have won five gold medals, three of which have won Turkmenbashi athletes. Ashgabat judoists in this age category have won three awards of the highest standard.

The first place has won judoists of Turkmenbashi city at the end of the tournament in the unofficial team standings, the second place is awarded to Ashgabat athletes, and the third place is awarded to Balkanabat athletes. In a solemn ceremony the winners of the championship are conferred sports diplomas and memorable gifts.
