26 Afghan civilians receive education for free in four Turkmen institutions

By tradition, each year young Afghan citizens enter the ranks of the students of the higher educational institutions of our country. Turkmenistan provides significant assistance in the preparation of highly qualified personnel in various specialties required to restore a socio-economic infrastructure of the friendly Afghanistan.

This year, teaching of Afghan students for free, is organized in four higher educational institutions: Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Seyidi, Turkmen Agricultural Institute, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and International Oil and Gas University.


Before to start the school, representatives of Afghanistan are trained the state language of the country in the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S.Seyidi. To enrich their vocabulary in Turkmen language, the Afghan representatives stay in the dormitories of the university campus. Communication and chat with local students help them to practice the language and adapt more quickly on weekdays. Also the traditions and way of life of our people is an asset.


To join the first-year students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, located in the administrative center of Mary region, ten representatives of the neighboring state has been enrolled. In total, 44 Afghan students continue the baton of humanitarian cooperation trained at different rates and directions of vocational training in this university. Since then, graduates of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, 48 fellows and girls, successfully have been working in the energy sector of Afghanistan.

The group of Afghan students consisting of ten people is enrolled in International Oil and Gas University - a higher educational institution of our country, carrying out training by highly qualified specialists for the national fuel and energy sector based on international standards.


Afghan students started training in two faculties of International Oil and Gas University particularly in oil and gas, energy and engineering structures. In these areas of training preparation they are expected to learn a range of specialties, including - design, construction and operation of gas and oil pipelines and its storages; power supply; automation of industrial installations and technological complexes; oil and gas installations and industrial construction; gas turbines and gas compressor stations and others.


The first week of training showed good language training of young people and their sense of purpose in their studies. For greater efficiency of educational process, Afghan students daily attend extra classes of Turkmen and English languages, physics, mathematics, chemistry and computer science.

In current academic year, Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute S. Seyidie has been admitted agroup of Afghan youth consisting of 30 people for course a one-year language course. Upon completion of the language training they will start acquiring new profession in the leading universities of our country.
