Numerous fans of equestrian sport gathered together at the equestrian complexes in Ashgabat, Balkan, Dashoguz, and Lebap Velayats, where the third day of the spring racing season took place.
The concerts with participation of popular singers, bagshis, folklore and dancing groups as well as exhibition performances of young sportsmen that created the atmosphere of a big Turkmen holiday on the eve of the Turkmen Horse Day were arranged at the stages of the equestrian complexes.
Thus, Ahalteke horses competed in seven rounds at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex. In the first four rounds three-year-old horses of the fourth group competed in the 1200 meter races. Atlyhan (1 minute 23.04 sec), Garamashal (1 minute 21.5 sec), Bitaraplyk (1 minute 23.0 sec) and Garateke (1 minute 21.5 sec) ranked the first in these rounds. In the fifth round three-year-old Ahalteke horses of the third group competed in the 1400 meter races. Mare Gulsary, who had run the 1400 meter for 1 minute 38.1 seconds, demonstrated the best result in this round. Four-year-old and elder Ahalteke horses competed in the sixth and seventh rounds in the 1800 meter races. Good fortune was with Gindigush, whose result was 2 minute 07.2 seconds, and Galapar (2 minute 09.5 sec).
Balkan, Dashoguz and Lebap Velayat equestrian complexes hosted five rounds each.
The four-year-old and elder horses competed in the first four rounds at the Balkan Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. In the first round Galaly (1 minute 59.0 sec) and Akgush (2 minutes 12.0 sec) ranked the first in the 1400 meter races. Melegush-2 achieved the best result (6 minutes 53.0 sec) in the 4600 meter races. Balkan (4 minutes 37.0 sec) was the first in the 3000 meter races. In the fifth round Arkadag (5 minute 42.0 sec) ranked the first among the four-year-old horses in the 3000 meter races.
Four-year-old and elder horses competed acutely in the Dashoguz Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. Gadyr-2 (2 minutes 37.30 sec) ranked the first in the 2000 meter races, and Gaplan (2 minute 27.30 sec) was the first in the 1800 meter races, Algyr (4 minutes 01.70 sec) showed the best results in the 3000 meter races, and Salpy (3 minutes 53.20 sec) was the best in the 2800 meter races. Three-year-old horses demonstrated sportsmanship in the fifth round in the 2800 meter race. Sulgun ranked the first in this round for 1 minute 52.3 seconds.
The three-year-old horses of the fourth group compete in the 1800 meter races in the Lebap Velayat equestrian complex. Sumbar (2 minutes 15.00 sec) was the first in this round. Among the four-year-old and elder horses competed in the second, third, fourth and fifth rounds, Gurt (1 minute 40.0 sec) was the first in the 1400 meter race, Kopel (1 minute 50.0 sec), Gindivar (1 minute 54.0 sec) and Perzent (1 minute 51.00 sec) showed the best result in the 1600 meter races.
