The Centre of Volunteers that was opened at secondary school No. 37 unites 300 students and teachers. The main criteria when selecting the candidates is the high level of foreign language skills. Qualified trainers teach the English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, German and Turkish languages to young volunteers.
A graduate of the Arabic Language Department of D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, the English Language teacher at secondary school No. 82 Yalkab Annaovezov heads the Arabic Language Group. Elmira Faradjayeva and Gulnara Yoldasheva – specialists of the Ashgabat Rehabilitation and Educational Centre supervise the group of the Russian and English sign language interpreters.
The volunteer training programme covers different spheres, including the study of the history, traditions, culture, key features of the modern development of Turkmenistan and the countries participating in the 2017 Asian Games.
The level of knowledge is tested in the framework of competitions and discussions, when the debutants of the voluntary movement demonstrate their managerial, intellectual and communicative skills.
