The Turkmen athletes won three bronze medals of the Eighth World Kuras Wrestling Chamoiosnhips, which was held in Termez, Uzbekistan. The competitions brought together sportsmen from 40 countries of the world.
15 sportsmen competed for the medals in the under 60-kg category in the men’s tournament. G. Zaripov from Farab Etrap became a prize winner in this category. M. Aydogdyeva (under 57 kg) and Sh. Kubaeva (over 78 kg) achieved the same success in the women’s tournaments.
Our sportsmen dedicated the medals they had won at the international tournament to the national holiday and the 20th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.
