The qualification table tennis tournament took place in Ashgabat. Table tennis is included into the programme of the 2017 Asian Games. Seven teams from all regions of the country and the Turkmen capital participated in the contest.

Tennis players from Ashgabat demonstrated the best results among men and won the first place. Turkmenbashi tennis players won five of six games and won the second place.

Ashgabat-1 was the best team among women. Ashagabat-2 and Lebap teams won the second and third places respectively.
