International chess tournament with participation of sportsmen from 10 counties including Turkmenistan started in Czech Republic. Our compatriot, FIDE Master Jamal Ovezdurdiyeva was remarkable in women rapid chess discipline and won the silver.
The contest for the prises was held by Swiss system of seven rounds. J. Ovezdurdiyeva scored 6 points out of 7 possible and got the second position. It is worth mentioned that there were 48 chess players in women group.
National Turkmenistan team will have to play in classic competitions where on game takes 1.5 hour of clean time with 30 seconds additional time after each move. The international tournament will last until March 4.
