2012 SPRING RACING SEASON: sixth day

Numerous fans of equestrian sport gathered together at the equestrian complexes in Ashgabat, Balkan, Dashoguz, Mary and Lebap Velayats, where the sixth day of the spring racing season took place.

Thus, Ahalteke horses competed in eleven rounds at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex.

Two-year-old horses of the fourth group competed in the first five rounds. Surnay (1 minute 13.00 sec), Gulbahar (1 minute 08.3 sec), Gulsary (1 minute 08.1 sec), Merjen (1 minute 08.4 sec), and Ayyaly (1 minute 10.5 sec) ranked the first in this round.

In the sixth round three-year-old horses competed in the 1800 meter races for the Polatly Prize established in honour of a famous horse. Perizat, who had run the distance for 2 minutes 0.7 seconds, demonstrated the best result in this round. In the seventh and eighth rounds three-year-old Ahalteke horses competed in the 1200 meter races. Good fortune was with Gayra, whose result was 1 minute 20.1 seconds (the fourth group), and Shohrat of the fourth group (1 minute 36 sec).

In the ninth round four-year-old and elder horses competed acutely in the 2000 meter races for the Gyorogly Prize established in honour of the hero of the Turkmen epos of the same name. Garadepel ranked the first (2 minutes 20.2 sec) and won the prize. Four-year-old and elder horses demonstrated sportsmanship in the tenth and eleventh rounds. Mertebeli (2 minutes 36.1 sec) ranked the first in the 2200 meter races, and Garadeniz (2 minute 24.00 sec) demonstrated the best result on the 2000 meter races.

Balkan, Dashoguz, Mary and Lebap Velayat equestrian complexes hosted five rounds each.

Arkadag (2 minutes) ranked the first among two-year-old horses in the 1400 meter races at the Balkan Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. Sadilli-2 (2 minutes 01.0 sec) and Yyldyrym (2 minutes 10.0 sec) achieved the best results in the 1400 meter races among four-year-old and elder horses. Dagly (7 minutes 13.0 sec) was the first in the 4600 meter races. Garaaltyn (4 minutes 20.0 sec) was the best among three-year-old horses competing in the 3000 meter races.

Four-year-old and elder horses competed acutely in the 1800 meter races at the Dashoguz Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. Adalat (2 minutes 21.70 sec) and Admiral (2 minutes 22.10 sec) ranked the first in these rounds. Girman (1 minute 49.70 sec) and Kepderi (1 minute 51.20 sec) demonstrated the best results in the 1400 meter races. Garadja achieved the best result (1 minute 00.20 sec) among two-year-old horses in the 800 meter races.

Two-year-old horses competed in the 800 meter races at the Lebap Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. Dorgyz (50.04 sec) was the first in this round. Among the four-year-old and elder horses competed in the 1400 meter races Keremli (1 minute 43.06 sec), Kepderi (1 minute 47.05 sec), Perzent (1 minute 47.07 sec) and Govher (1 minute 49.05 sec) showed the best results.

Two-year-old horses competed in the 500 meter races at the Mary Velayat Equestrian Sports Complex. Novruzbay (32.44 sec) and Seyran (37.19 sec) demonstrated the best results in this round. Among three-year-old horses competed in the 1200 meter races Pynhan (1 minute 41.87 sec) showed the best result. Pervaz (2 minutes 48.12 sec) was the first among four-year-old and elder horses in the 1800 meter races, and Tahyr demonstrated the best result – 2 minutes 48.12 sec in the 2000 meter races.

According to specialists, the results mentioned above vividly testify to that there are notable favourites among two-year-old horse, who took part in the horse racing for the first time.

All this has vividly proved the growing efficiency of the work carried out in the horse breeding industry of Turkmenistan on increasing the population of elite horses and preparing them for various competitions.
