Representatives of different foreign transport and logistic companies, international organizations, governmental structures and investors applied to participate in the forum.
It is planned that agenda will include the following subjects – role of the transport and logistics in national economy, future of logistic system, prospects and development of communication infrastructure, railway branch, river and maritime transport and other.
Having listened to the information on preparation to the conference during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on April 22, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov mentioned that transport and communication sector is one of the key segments of international economy affecting the efficiency and balance of the world’s economic relations. Turkmenistan holds active position in the subjects of international cooperation in this direction including in the UN format, proposing initiatives and implementing large infrastructural projects for establishment of transnational transit and transport corridors together with international partners.
Having highlighted the importance of the coming forum, aimed at further development of beneficial international cooperation in this strategic direction, the Head of the State gave number of specific instructions for provision of high organizational level of International transport and Logistics Conference.
