Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Muhametshin gifted a copy of the Russia Cup and the gold medal of the Russian Football Championship won by the Rubin FC, where our sportsmen have successfully worked for several years, to the President of Turkmenistan. The solemn ceremony took place at the National Institute of Tourism and Sports.
It is symbolic that these prizes awarded in the friendly country for the highest sports achievements, were gifted to the Turkmen leader, under whose leadership the state policy in the sphere of physical culture and sports is successfully implemented in the country.
The festively decorated Institute of Tourism and Sports greeted participants of the event. Sportsmen and masters of culture and art of our country performed a bright show in front of the building of the institute. A colourful photo exhibition demonstrating the incentive example of the Turkmen leader, an ardent supporter and advocate of a healthy lifestyle, was arranged at the foyer of the higher educational institution. It should be noted that the Olympic Council of Asia presented the Order of Merit to the leader of Turkmenistan in recognition of his services to the international sports movement.
According to those speaking at the solemn ceremony, the national sport has received a powerful incentive for its development due to the open door policy implemented by the Turkmen leader, and the wide international cooperation, including with the regions of the Russian Federation. That is vividly proved by the contacts with Tatarstan that achieved great results in various sports. That is very important for exchanging experience as in 2013 Kazan will be the capital of the XXVII World Summer Students Games, and Ashgabat is preparing to host the V Asia Indoor and Martial Art Games in 2017.
This year the highly-qualified coaches of the children’s and youth school of the Ak Bars Kazan Hockey Club trained two our teams for the First National Tournament for the Turkmenistan President’s Cup held in April within the framework of the Week of Health and Happiness announced by the Turkmen leader. One of the teams – Burgut team of the State Committee for Tourism and Sports won the honorary trophy. Soon, in accordance with the Turkmen leader’s Resolution, the winners of the tournament were trained at the basis of the Children’s and Youth School of the Ak Bars Hockey Club in Kazan.
