The report and election conference of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan took place at the National Olympic Committee. The delegates from all regions of the country and Ashgabat as well as Chairman of the Department for International Relations with the National Associations of the Asian Football Confederation Kasra Asrar Haghighi took part in the meeting.

Within the last years particular attention is paid to developing football in Turkmenistan in the context of promotion of the healthy life style. The Turkmen footballers achieved successes at the international arena. Thus, this year the national team of Turkmenistan has reached the final of the 4th AFC Challenge Cup Tournament in Katmandu, Nepal.

The conference agenda focused on election of the new head of the federation. Vice Premier S. Toylyev was nominated for the post of the Chairman of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan. The candidature was unanimously supported by the delegates to the conference.

New membership of the auditing commission of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan was elected and a new emblem of the Footballs Federation of the country was adopted.
