Student team represented our country at International Mathematics Contest held under Plovdiv University aegis in Bulgarian Pamporovo on May 19 – 21.
24 teams from Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania and Turkmenistan participated in the intellectual forum. The composition of national team included representatives of four universities – Magtumguly Turkmen State University, International University of Humanitarian Studies and Developemnt, the State Energy Institute and Agricultural Institute, mentored by candidate of physics and mathematics, Head of Mathematical Analysis Department of Magtumguly Turkmen State University Nurmuhammet Gurbanmammedov and lecturer of International Institute of Humanitarian Studies and Development Pirmurat Gurbanov.
By the outcomes of prestigious intellectual competition, Turkmen mathematicians were awarded with three gold, five silver and six bronze medals.
Students of Magtumguly Turkmen State University Gurtmurat Motukov, Palvan Agamuradov as well as fourth grade student of Agricultural Institute Nury Atajanov were the winner of the contest. Ilshat Valiyev (MTSU), Gurbangeldy Gurbangeldiyev and Perman Iljanov (IUHSD), Mekan Hojayev (TSEI) and Eziz Kakyshov (TAI) were the silver medalists. Kerven Durdymuradov and Babaniyaz Agambayev (MTSU), Toremurat Gurbanov and Shageldy Hudayberdiyev (TSEI), Azat Amangeldiyev and Muhammetnazar Mirabov (TAI) won the bronze.
Special cup instituted by the organization committee of the contest was awarded to the representatives of Magtumguly Turkmen State University for high team results. Successful participation of Turkmen team resulted in invitation to International Mathematics Olympiads in Bulgarian Blagoevgrad in July – August of this year.
Nurmuhammet Gurbanmammedov, the mentor of TSU students highlighted that success of his team became a good tradition. At present, mathematic team of the university has 32 different medals. 27 of them were won in similar contest in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Iran.
Together with international awards, the collection box of intellectual achievements of the student has dozens of medals won at interuniversity contests in the country.
Magtumguly Turkmen State University hosted homouring ceremony of Turkmen intellectual team, which members received valuable prizes and flowers. Numerous congratulations were given to their honour. It included musical numbers, which student artists dedicated to their friends.
