Two new higher educational establishments: the Turkmen State Architectural Institute, which became a legal successor of the abrogated Turkmen Polytechnic Institute, and the Turkmen State Institute of Oil and Gas have been created in the system of the national education.

The matter on creation of these new institutes has been considered at the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers on May 25, where the President of Turkmenistan signed a relevant document. The head of state noted that opening of the new higher educational institutions is an important stage in realization of drastic educational reform, one of the main purposes of which is development of effective and flexible for requirements of the day the system of training of professional staff for various sectors of economy.
