Preparations for the New Academic Year Are in Full Swing
As part of preparations for the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, extensive work is under way in the Lebap velayat. In a year being held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” preparations for 1 September are being carried out not only at educational institutions, but also at enterprises and organizations involved in providing essential goods and services to the population.

Turkmenistan and the United Nations Secretariat will jointly develop a unified Calendar of International Legal Events for 2028, which has been proclaimed the Year of International Law under the relevant United Nations General Assembly Resolution.

The UN has unanimously supported initiative of Turkmenistan: 2028 has been declared the Year of international law
On the 24th of July this year, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by Turkmenistan. The document proclaims the year 2028 as the Year of International Law.

School fairs will open in Turkmenistan on the 1st of August
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital system, where state affairs were discussed. During the meeting, a report was heard on preparations for organising retail sales of school supplies in anticipation of the new academic year.
