The 10th round of the Turkmenistan football championship among major league clubs kicked off with two matches in «Ashgabat» and «Arkadag».
The central event of this round was the match in the «smart» city, where the local «Arkadag», which leads the tournament table, hosted its closest pursuer «Altyn Asyr».
Before the start of the game, a downpour passed over the stadium, but this did not spoil either the field or the mood of the participants.
The match ended with a noticeable advantage for the current national champion, who took the lead in the 27th minute after a precise strike by Didar Durdyyev. In the second half, «Arkadag» scored four more goals within 14 minutes of each other, bringing the match to a decisive victory – 5:0. In the 55th minute, Bayram Atayev scored, in the 64th minute, Didar Durdyyev scored a double, converting a penalty, and Yazgylych Gurbanov (65th) and Arzuvguly Sapargulyyev (69th) completed the rout of the opponent.
Having won their tenth victory in 10 matches, «Arkadag» scored the maximum 30 points and increased their lead over «Altyn Asyr» to 11 points.
In another match of the round, at the central arena of the multifunctional stadium «Ashgabat», the «Kopetdag» and «Shagadam» of the capital from the city of Turkmenbashy did not reveal a winner, playing to a 0:0 draw.
After this game, «Shagadam» remained in fourth place with 12 points, while «Kopetdag» is at the bottom of the standings with 5 points.
«Arkadag» striker Didar Durdyyev strengthened his lead in the race of scorers. Having scored a brace in the 10th round, he brought his tally to 9 goals (2 from penalties). 2-3 places with 5 goals are shared by Suleyman Mirzoyev («Ahal») and Serdar Gulyyev («Shagadam»). The first one scored 1 goal from a penalty, and the second one scored 2.
