An exhibition of decorative art pieces and museum collections that showcase the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people is be arranged at the Hazine Exhibition Hall. Cultural and art workers of the two countries held bilateral meetings.
Three large museums of our country – the Main National Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Geoktepe National Museum showcased their exhibits, including ancient national costumes, housewares, and original samples of the decorative and applied art.
Unique in its diversity Turkmen jewellery, ancient carpet articles, embroideries aroused keen interest among visitors. The works of modern painters, which were created in different genres and trends of the fine art, told about the unique beauty and generosity of the native land, its herois history and original culture. Each exhibit presented at the exposition as if invited the visitors to start a leisurely thoughtful dialogue about the imperishable and eternal values.
In the afternoon, cultural and art workers of Turkmenistan met with their colleagues from Tatarstan at the National library.
Scholars specializing in the languages, history or cultures of Turkic peoples, interpreters, writers, composers, musicians, artists, workers of museums in Tatarstan were invited to attend the meeting. The agenda of the meeting focused on the prospects of cooperation with the aim to study and popularize the cultural heritage, translate the classical literary works of the two cultures, and hold joint events in the scientific, educational and cultural spheres.
The delegation of Turkmenistan also visited the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan that was opened over a hundred years ago. Today, it is one of the largest scientific and research, cultural and educational institution in Tatarstan.
