Increasing the return of land

In accordance with the tasks set by the state for the domestic agro-industrial complex to significantly increase the volume of agricultural production, the farmers of the Dashoguz velayat strive to increase the return of fertile lands. One of the possible ways of such a practice could be the active introduction of certain types of winter crops into mass production. So, one of the promising plants in this regard is garlic.

It is known that garlic is a crop with increased cold resistance. Depending on the weather conditions of the region, it can be planted in the soil in different autumn months. Before the onset of stable cold weather, it must have time to form a good root system penetrating the soil, but at the same time not to tie leaves. With proper care for it, including the right shelter, it can painlessly endure the winter. In the production of winter garlic, much depends on its variety and on the land area chosen for wintering this crop. The decisive factors in choosing a variety are precocity, yield, resistance to various diseases, as well as its adaptability to a given area. It is believed that garlic will grow best after annual vegetables with a short growing season, such as cucumbers or pumpkins, some cereals.

The demand for garlic, including early green garlic, is always high in the consumer market, which makes its production profitable. By the way, in the northern region of Turkmenistan, which is one of the largest producers of fruits and vegetables in the country, the cultivation of winter onions has been successfully mastered in recent years.
