A bright, rich and truly incendiary concert, consisting of musical hits from Indian cinema, was presented to the people of Ashgabat by students of the variety art department of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulyyeva.

Indian films have been very popular in Turkmenistan for many years. Therefore, there were practically no empty seats left in the Great Hall of the Conservatory. Students, teachers and guests of the creative university came not only to enjoy good music, but also to remember the brightest episodes of colorful and original films produced by Bollywood.

The colorful saris and traditional costumes worn by the vocalists, as well as a large television screen showing melodramatic footage from timeless films such as “Disco Dancer”, “Bobby”, “Dance, Dance” and many others, helped to fully imbue the atmosphere of Indian cinema.

The organizer of the exciting "journey" into the world of Indian music was the head of the variety department and conductor of the variety orchestra Maysa Mammetjumayeva, who set the students the task of demonstrating the relationship and mutual understanding of the two fraternal peoples: Indian and Turkmen.

-A big concert of music and songs from Indian films opened the week of the Variety Art Department, - Maysa Mammetjumayeva explained. – In the coming days, cool concerts, karaoke battles and other events dedicated to the work of our department will take place. To implement this thematic concert, the idea of which was born a long time ago, my students and I looked for the lyrics of Indian songs in Latin, listened to the original sound, so that the singing turned out to be rich, melodic and convincing.

Indeed, the singing of vociferous vocalists gave the audience a lot of unforgettable impressions. The audience literally could not sit still, danced, applauded warmly and sang along to familiar hits. Everyone who wanted to take away memorable memories filmed the best moments of the concert on mobile phone cameras.

The sonorous and clear voice of a student of the Special Musical Boarding School at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulyyeva, Iskander Rejepov, especially won the hearts of the audience. The participant of the annual vocal competition "Merjendaneleri" performed the Indian song "Aa gaya, Aa gaya" from the movie "Dance, Dance".

Not done without colorful Indian dances. The singing duet of Jora Jorayev and Jennet Mekanova exactly repeated the dance scenes from the movie "Something happens". The similarity of the Turkmen artist with the star of Indian cinematography Shah Rukh Khan was noted by many present.

And the rich concert program ended with the hit "Dance is Life" performed by Mansur Sharipov and Yagshygul Omarova. The students ignited the audience so that even after the end of the concert everyone sang the final song and hurried to take pictures with their favorite talents.
