Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting via a digital system, which was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agricultural sector, and the khyakims of velayats. Issues of the development of the agro-industrial complex and the progress of seasonal agricultural work were submitted for consideration.
First, the floor was given to Akhal Velayat Khyakim Ya. Gurbanov, who reported on the state of affairs in the fields of the region.
As was reported, in strict accordance with the agro-technical standards, wheat is cared for, in particular, mineral fertilizers are applied and irrigation is performed. In addition, cotton sowing has been organized in the velayat, machinery and equipment are operated at full capacity.
Potato and onion plantings are properly cared for. Preparations are underway for the production cocoons season.
Information was also provided on the implementation of the provisions outlined in the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the transformation of the social and living conditions of the population of villages, towns, etrap cities and etrap centers for the period up to 2028.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the need to strictly comply with the agro-technical requirements when conducting seasonal agricultural campaigns.
In this regard, the head of state instructed the khyakim to keep under strict control the organization of cotton sowing, care for wheat and other crops, emphasizing that these works must be carried out in a timely manner and with high quality.
Noting that the issues of further raising the standard of living of the people, improving social and living conditions are among the priority areas of the state policy, the President of the country ordered to strictly control the pace of construction of facilities provided for by the National Rural Program, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.
Then, Balkan Velayat Khyakim T. Atahallyev reported on the course of seasonal field work.
As was reported, cotton sowing started in an organized manner in the western region, and agricultural machinery was operated at full capacity. At the same time, wheat is taken care for, in particular, the application of mineral fertilizers and watering, as well as planting potatoes and onions.
Measures are taken to provide producers with high-quality silkworm eggs in a timely manner.
The khyakim also reported on the pace of construction of various facilities in the region, provided for by the Program of the country’s socio-economic development in 2022-2028 and the National Rural Program, to be put into operation this year.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that seasonal field campaigns must be approached in a comprehensive manner, instructing to keep the timeliness and quality of agricultural work, including wheat care, under strict control.
The President of the country gave a number of instructions to the khyakim, including on ensuring a high organizational level of cotton sowing, quality care for planting potatoes and onions in compliance with the agro-technical requirements.
Specifying that the implementation of the provisions outlined in the Program for socio-economic development of the country must be approached with all responsibility, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to keep under constant control the quality and deadlines of the construction of social and other facilities, the commissioning of which is scheduled for the current year.

As was reported, on March 24, on the instructions of the President of the country, cotton sowing started in thee Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary Velayats. In the Dashoguz Velayat, preparations are underway for cotton sowing, which is scheduled for March 29.
Along with this, the necessary steps are taken to ensure the efficient operation of agricultural machinery and equipment to be used in sowing, owned by etrap repair and maintenance enterprises and farmers’ associations, as well as to provide farmers with high-quality cotton seeds.
