Farmers face a critical season

Farmers of Shavat etrap of Dashoguz velayat are successfully conducting spring agrotechnical activities. Due to the high level of organization of the work carried out, the planting of onions and potatoes has been completed on time. Potatoes have been planted on nearly two thousand hectares, and onions on 490 hectares. In addition, cabbage has been successfully planted on 50 hectares.

These crops have also been planted within the optimal timeframe in Boldumsaz etrap of the velayat, which is one of the major producers of these crops in the region.

The planting of potatoes, onions, and cabbage has also been successfully completed in other etraps of the velayat. Overall, in Dashoguz velayat during the spring campaign, potatoes have been planted on 8,800 hectares, onions on 2,200 hectares, and cabbage on 385 hectares. It should be noted that onions will also be planted in the region in the autumn.

At present, the velayat’s farmers are rapidly planting other types of vegetables and melons.

As throughout the country, consistent measures are being implemented in the northern region of Turkmenistan to ensure year-round supply of high-quality agricultural products to the consumer market. To successfully address the tasks at hand, farmers of Dashoguz velayat strive to use land and water resources more efficiently, carry out agrotechnical activities in a timely and high-quality manner, widely introduce new crop varieties adapted to local weather and climatic conditions, and apply scientifically based cultivation technologies. This approach allows them to achieve good harvests annually, ensuring food abundance.
