The large-scale transformations carried out in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state stimulate the development of all sectors of the national economy. A bright example of this is the work of the team of the cement plant "Balkan" of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan.

This large manufacturing plant, located near the city of Balkanabat, the administrative center of the Balkan velayat, occupies an area of 50 hectares. Hundreds of experienced workers and specialists work in several shifts at the plant, which is a kind of town. Three four-story residential buildings, each of which is designed for 16 families of workers of various professions directly involved in production, decorate the appearance of the town.

All stages of work at the enterprise are mechanized and automated. The coordination of actions of workers of the automobile garage, mechanical, power, automation shops, as well as specialists of control centers ensures uninterrupted production of the necessary building material. The manufactured products are regularly delivered to construction sites of the country.

Since the beginning of the current year, 403 thousand 192 tons of high-quality cement have been supplied to consumers. This indicates that the enterprise has achieved a growth rate of 129 percent. According to experts, the limestone, clay, quartz sand, gypsum and iron ore required for production are mined in the Balkan velayat, which allows for rapid expansion of production and reduces the cost of manufactured cement.
