In the Dashoguz velayat has grown a harvest of some types of vegetable crops. Thus, farmers of the Akdepe etrap have completed harvesting carrots grown on 220 hectares by today. They are currently completing the harvesting of cucumbers. According to experts, at least 900 tons of this crop will be collected. Let us recall that the Akdepe etrap is the largest producer of melons and vegetables in the region.

A rich harvest of cucumbers and carrots has been grown in other etraps of the velayat as well. In total, local farmers expect to get at least 2,000 tons of cucumbers and over 13 thousand tons of carrots. Moreover, carrots will be collected from forty hectares in the autumn as well. By the way, the yellow carrots grown here are especially valued for their excellent taste, which gives a special flavor to pilaf.

Vegetable and melon growers of the region make a significant contribution to providing the population with a variety of fresh produce. They strive to carry out the necessary agrotechnical measures in a timely and high-quality manner, actively implement scientific recommendations in production, and rationally use land and water resources.
