This year, the rice growers of Dashoguz velayat plan to harvest a good crop

The rice crop grown this year in Dashoguz velayat once again gives reason to hope for good results. As is known, achieving a high yield depends on the proper selection of varieties considering the technology of their cultivation. Therefore, based on the accumulated experience of cultivating this crop, the basis of this year's harvest consists of the well-proven rice varieties "Nöküs-2" and "Bereket" in the local weather and climatic conditions. They are characterized by high yield, resistance to diseases, lodging, and shedding.

The provision of all necessary resources to the rice growers contributed to the timely implementation of all agronomic measures for growing the pearl grain. Now the velayat's rice growers are preparing for the upcoming important campaign of harvesting the grown crop. Organizational measures for its successful conduct have been developed.

This year, in the S. Turkmenbashi etrap, which is the main rice producer in the region, rice was grown on four thousand seven hundred fifty hectares in the dayhan association "S. A. Nyýazow", on 2800 hectares in the dayhan association "27 Oktyabr", and on another six hundred hectares grown by the economic society "Ykbal Achary". Overall, the rice growers of the velayat hope to obtain more than 43 centners of grain per hectare.

Thanks to the consistent and comprehensive support of producers from the state, the region has created a school of rice growing based on many years of experience in cultivating this crop and the successful use of modern production methods and recommendations from domestic scientists. This allows the farmers to harvest at least 35 thousand tons of rice from the fields annually. The presence of a sufficient fleet of harvesting equipment helps to avoid grain losses.
