Turkmenistan’s New Permanent Representative to the OIC Assumes Duties
On 16 February, 2026, an official ceremony for the presentation of credentials was held at the headquarters of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah. Mr. Muhammetgeldi Ayazov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, officially assumed his duties as the country’s Permanent Representative to this respected international organization.

On February 20, 2026, a gala event was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation dedicated to the motto of 2026, «Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses», the 35th anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan, and the presentation of the new book by the President of Turkmenistan, «The Neutrality of Turkmenistan – The Bright Path of Peace and Trust».

R. Meredov: Turkmenistan is an active creator of the architecture of global interaction
A representative international conference was held at the Institute of international relations of the Ministry of foreign affairs of Turkmenistan, timed to coincide with the professional holiday of domestic diplomats. The forum, held under the symbolic motto «Priority directions of foreign policy of Turkmenistan in the Year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», became a platform for understanding the key vectors of foreign policy of the country.
