The holy month of Oraza is a month which occupies a special place in the heart of every Muslim, fasting, prayer, purification and blessings. We do honor this month in the ancient Turkmen land as well.
On the eve of all mosques in the country held prayer "Tarawa prayers" which personify the beginning of the holy month of Oraza. They are a symbol of unity, friendship and inspiration and will take place throughout the month of fasting.
As it is known Oraza is particularly noticeable in the Islamic calendar time since it is believed that during this month Almighty Allah revealed the Holy Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. To celebrate the sacredness of this event every Muslim is trying to do good and forgive each other offenses and sins. The purpose of this period is the strengthening of faith, spiritual growth, understanding of the moral tenets, awareness of their own targets, actions, lifestyle, time of active work on yourself and correct your weaknesses.
Especially important for Muslims is the night of 26 on the 27th day of the blessed month of Oraza - Gadyr gijesi. It is believed that in this night of omnipotence of Allah through an angel Jebrail was sent down to Prophet Muhammad Djebrail as a revelation of the holy Quran.
