Precipitation and a drop in air temperature expected in Turkmenistan
From December 8 to 14, a decrease in temperature is expected in Turkmenistan. Some velayats may see rain, and the northern regions may experience rain mixed with snow. In Dashoguz velayat, nighttime temperatures may drop to –6°C.

Ashgabat admitted to the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities
On December 4, 2025, Ashgabat, which achieved significant results in developing the country’s science and education system and created the necessary conditions for citizens of all ages to learn and gain knowledge throughout their lives, was admitted to the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities, together with 72 cities from 46 countries. This decision recognized the high achievements of the capital of Turkmenistan in this field.

On the occasion of International volunteer day, a volunteer festival was held in Ashgabat
Ashgabat hosted a vibrant volunteer festival to mark International volunteer day, celebrated annually on the 5th of December since 2017. The event, organised by public organisations of Turkmenistan with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in our country, brought together over 150 active young men and women.

The potential of youth is the key to the prosperity of the state

A special issue of the quarterly magazine ECO Heritage, published by the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization, has been published to mark the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality.
