Daniyar Emirkulyyev, a 4^th-year student in the faculty of international economics and management at the International university for humanities and development, was awarded the high and honorary title of «Student of the year 2026» after winning the annual state competition among students of higher education institutions in Turkmenistan.

Daniyar successfully withstood intense competition across all stages of the competition, among numerous talented student participants representing the leading higher education institutions of the country.

Traditionally, the competition, using an established points system, took into account the achievements of the participants in scientific and creative and interdisciplinary competitions, international olympiads, sports competitions, their participation in cultural and public events, and appearances in the media.

During the final stage, which took place from the 15^th to 16^th of June, contestants were given test assignments prepared in social and political subjects, modern computer technologies, and a foreign language (English).

Daniyar Emirkulyyev, who achieved the highest score among the outstanding young people of this year, was rightfully declared the winner of the prestigious state competition «Student of the year 2026».

The winner of the main prize of competition, as well as the best participants who won honourable first, second, and third places, were awarded special diplomas and valuable gifts from the competition organisers – the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan and the National centre of Trade unions.

The main goals of the competition are to identify and support capable, motivated students who are experts in the exact and human sciences, fluent in modern digital technologies and foreign languages, and who skillfully apply their acquired knowledge in practice.

The annual competition consistently demonstrates the growing desire of Turkmen youth to explore new frontiers of science and technology and serves as a powerful incentive for students to achieve even greater scientific and creative heights to ensure the continued confident development of their homeland and strengthen its authority on the international stage.
